Executive Profiles New York Private Bank and Trust

John R. Hart

John Hart is Vice Chairman of New York Private Bank & Trust Company. He has over 30 years of experience in banking sector, primarily in Investments and Private Wealth Management. For the last 23 years, Mr. Hart has been responsible for the Capital Markets and Banking Divisions of Emigrant Bank. He also serves as a Director of Emigrant Mortgage Company, Inc., Emigrant Funding Corporation, Emigrant Agency Inc. and Independent Means, Inc. Prior to New York Private Bank & Trust, he was a Senior Director of Capital Markets for 9 years at Meritor Savings Bank.

Mr. Hart is deeply involved in his community. He serves on the Advisory Board of the Bowery Mission in New York City, on the Board of Governors of Opportunity International, as a Director for the Tanenbaum Center for Interreligious Understanding and co-Chairs the New York Advisory Board of St. Josephs University. He is a past Chairman of the Board of Hope Church in Wilton, Connecticut and of the Christian Heritage School in Trumbull, Connecticut.

Mr. Hart received his MBA in Finance and Banking from Saint Josephs University and a BA in Accounting from Pennsylvania State University.

George J. Dickson

George J. Dickson, Jr. is Executive Vice President of New York Private Bank & Trust. Mr. Dickson has been an executive officer of Emigrant Bank since 1988. He is a founding member of the Banks Asset/Liability Committee, managing and advising nearly $5 billion of mortgage back securities, corporate bonds, preferred stocks, U.S. Government Securities, and municipal bonds.

Mr. Dickson also advises separately managed fixed-income accounts for New York Private Bank & Trust clients. He created and managed the NYPB&T Municipal Liquidity Fund (MF-1 LP), a special purpose hedge fund designed to capitalize on unique opportunities that arose during the financial crisis. Over the last 24 years, he has been integrally involved with all of the Banks Capital Markets initiatives, ranging from operating the wholesale money market desk to the highly successful GNMA MBS, municipal bond, and residential whole loan trading programs.

Mr. Dicksons civic and charitable interests include The Rose Valley Museum & Historical Society, The American Heart Association, and Saint John Chrysostom Parish Outreach. Prior to joining Emigrant Bank, he was an Investment Strategist at Meritor (PSFS) Savings Bank in Philadelphia. Mr. Dickson holds a B.S. degree from Drexel University, with a dual major in Finance and Economics, and an M.S. from the University of Pennsylvania.

P. Christopher Cieszko

Chris Cieszko is a Managing Director at New York Private Bank & Trust Company. His primary responsibilities include client relationship management and new business development. He possesses over 25 years of experience in the banking and financial services industry. Prior to joining New York Private Bank & Trust Company, Mr. Cieszko was the Market President for San Diego Private Bank in San Diego, California. In this capacity, he was responsible for the successful establishment and expansion of a de novo Private Bank.

Before his move to San Diego, Mr. Cieszko was a Senior Vice President and Private Banker with U.S. Trust Company. His responsibilities included relationship management, business development and loan structuring/negotiations. He started with U.S. Trust Company in their New York headquarters office in 1993. In 1998, he relocated to Portland, Oregon to establish the companys Private Banking office and in 1999 moved to Los Angeles to spearhead the development of the Southern California market for U.S. Trust. He has also worked for Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company and Chemical Bank in New York from 1985 to 1993.

Mr. Cieszko attended Wake Forest University and is a graduate of William Paterson College. He is a member of Rotary International, Legatus and is on the Advisory Board of the Jewish Community Foundation of San Diego. He coaches little league baseball, softball and AYSO soccer. He is also an avid skier.

Andrew E. Randall

Prior to being named Managing Director of New York Private Bank & Trust in Cleveland, Andrew E. (Andy) Randall was President of TriState Capitals Ohio operation, and before that spent ten years with U.S. Bank in Cleveland and Milwaukee. During his career there, he served as the Executive Vice President and Chairman of northern and central Ohio, and as the President of the Wisconsin bank with $18 billion in total assets and 5,500 employees. Andy was responsible for commercial banking activities including consumer banking, private banking, commercial real estate, asset management, and treasury management.

Prior to that he spent 20 years with Bank of America. Andy worked in New York, Mexico, Singapore, Hong Kong and San Francisco. He served as the Director of Treasury Management and Senior Vice President during his last few years with the bank, and he was responsible for generating annual revenues of $200 million.

Andy has a number of civic interests, which include board involvement in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, Hiram College, Cleveland Clinics Childrens Hospital, United Way, as well as several other organizations. A graduate of Bradley University with a B.S. in Business Management, Andy earned his M.B.A. in Finance from Syracuse University.

James A. Berger

Jim Berger is a Managing Director at New York Private Bank & Trust, responsible for new business development. Prior to joining New York Private Bank & Trust, Mr. Berger spent 23 years in the global insurance market, specializing in the entertainment industry providing insurance for several Academy Award® winning films.

Having worked at the Entertainment Risk Agency in Los Angeles for several years, he moved to Paris where he successfully targeted the European entertainment industry. Relocating back to New York, Mr. Berger took on an additional role as founding Managing Partner of cineFinance, a company that provided film completion guarantees to banking institutions and other financiers that fund film productions. cineFinance quickly became one of the worlds largest guarantors.

Mr. Berger and his wife support several national charities including the Cancer Support Community, Guiding Eyes for the Blind and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. A graduate of Boston University, Mr. Berger lives in Manhattan with his wife and young son. He is an avid golfer and skier.

Susan Brennan

Susan Brennan is a Managing Director at New York Private Bank & Trust based in Sarasota, Florida. She is responsible for new business development and client relationship management. With almost 20 years in the wealth management field, Susan has experience in many areas of banking and investments. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Brennan was a Senior Relationship Manager for PNC Wealth Management in Sarasota, Florida where she helped to launch a highly successful office there in 2007.

Susan attended Michigan State University where she was named one of the Top 25 Seniors. Susan is an alumni of Northwestern Universitys Kellogg Graduate School of Management Executive Education and a Certified Wealth Strategist from Canon Financial. She is very involved in the community and has many passions in the arts and human services. She has served as Board Trustee of Girls Inc. of Sarasota, Giving Matters, Leadership Sarasota, and the Sarasota Memorial Hospital Foundation.

Christine Sandrib

Christine Sandrib is a Vice President at New York Private Bank & Trust, based in Sarasota, Florida. Her primary focus is new business development and client relationship management. Prior to joining New York Private Bank & Trust, Ms. Sandrib spent seven years with the Ritz-Carlton Company as lead Sales and Marketing Executive for their Private Members Club division. Her responsibilities included product and business development, client engagement and brand positioning. Before joining The Ritz-Carlton Company, Ms. Sandrib co-founded an employment placement service and worked in both New York and London. Ms. Sandrib attended the University of Hartford. Her charitable interests include The American Cancer Society, The Sarasota Memorial Hospital, The Selby Gardens Foundation as well as a Steering Committee Member for the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center.

Carmen Villa

Carmen Villa is a Vice President and Director of Operations at New York Private Bank & Trust Company. Ms. Villa manages the client services and operations team that oversees all client activity. Her duties include client onboarding and due diligence, regulatory compliance, and supervision of daily account activity to ensure optimal client satisfaction. Prior to joining New York Private Bank & Trust Company in 2006, Ms. Villa was a custody officer at The Bank of New York where she was responsible for overseeing $740 million in client account assets. She began her career at JP Morgan Chase in 1994, and spent seven years as a custody and banking officer in the Private Banking Group Wealth Management Division. Ms. Villa holds a B.S. degree in Material Science & Metallurgy from Polytechnic Institute in Bucharest, Romania.

Vivian Tianyue Hu

Vivian Tianyue Hu is an International Client Associate at New York Private Bank & Trust Company. Ms. Hus primary responsibilities include private client relationship development and management and international financial market research. Prior to joining NYPB&T, Ms. Hu was working at Altfest Wealth Management supporting Senior Financial Planners who provide financial services to high net-worth individuals including investment management, retirement planning, tax planning, etc. She had prior experience at Swaps Monitors as a Research Analyst. Ms. Hu holds a B.S. degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois and M.S. degree in Investment Management from Pace University. She is also a 2013 level II CFA candidate and pursuing a CFP® designation through the Certified Financial Planning program from NYUs School of Continuing and Professional Studies.
